SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and can be used for noise immunity decoding of information in channels with a large noise level. Decoding method of the linear cascaded code is based on the fact that, at the receiving end of a communication channel, encoded information sequence is first sent to an internal iterative decoder and then to an external decoder, encoded information sequence used for decoding at the receiving side, is formed on the transmitting side by sending the original information sequence first to an external encoder that uses the monitoring code mod q, q≥2, and after each (n-1) symbols it calculates their sum mod q and puts this symbol on the n-th position, and then the generated sequence is sent to the internal encoder, in which it is coded according to the selected code, and when decoding the encoded information sequence with an internal iterative decoder, the external decoder monitors the number of information symbols, which were decoded by the internal decoder, and evaluates the reliability of the decoded symbols by counting the number of these symbols, and after each n-th character, the external decoder counts the sum mod q for the previous (n-1) symbols and compares the result with the value of the n-th symbol, calculating their difference R.

EFFECT: higher probability of correcting errors during decoding by improving the decoding efficiency of iterative cascading codes.
