SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to percussion-rotary drilling. Drill string for percussion-rotary drilling comprises a first elongated percussion-rotary drilling rod of the drill string having a main part and a male end, second elongated percussion-rotary drilling rod of the drill string having a main part and a female end, male and female ends have corresponding threads for percussion-rotary drilling and for the attachment of the male end within the female end so that axial length (L) of the male and female ends overlaps axially to form a coupling zone. Wherein axial overlap length (L) between the male and female ends in the coupling zone is smaller than outer diameter (D) of the female end.
EFFECT: drilling efficiency is increased, the achievable amplitude of the shock wave is maximized without damaging the drill string coupling zone.
