SUBSTANCE: according to one embodiment, the parcel processing apparatus includes a moving mechanism and a plurality of stores. Movement mechanism includes a conveyor, at least two conveyor belts and a drive device. Conveyor is provided with a travel path including a direction change path configured to change the direction of movement of the dispatch object. Two conveyor belts are configured to cover the dispatch object on both sides to move the dispatch object along the route of travel. Drive device is configured with the possibility of driving conveyor belts. Dispatch object moved by the moving mechanism is accumulated in a plurality of stores. One of the two conveyor belts is a conveyor belt on the inner periphery provided on the path of the direction change. Other of the two conveyor belts is a conveyor belt on the outer periphery, that can be stretched longer, than the conveyor belt on the inner periphery and faces the outer peripheral surface of the conveyor belt on the inner periphery. Direction change path includes one or more rotatable supports that are configured to be brought into contact with the dispatch object and rotatable about an axis that intersects the direction of travel.
