SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, particularly to versions of a skin-contacting medical material for placement on a human or animal skin, which comprises: (i) a hydrocolloid substrate comprising cellulose, a derivative thereof, or a combination thereof, and having a first surface for placement on skin and a second surface that faces away from the skin; and (ii) a silicone adhesive comprising a two part catalysed, low temperature curing silicone elastomer, for adhesive bonding of the material to the skin, which is intermittently applied to the first surface to create areas not covered by the adhesive, thereby transferring moisture from the skin to the substrate, wherein in one embodiment, the adhesive is provided in the form of lines or grooves to create geometric shapes or concentric circles; as well as to the use of said material for the manufacture of medical dressing material, stoma gasket, medical adhesive pad, skin-protective stoma pads or colostomy bag.
