SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sternal appliances designed to be fastened around a user's stoma. Device comprises: a bearing sheet having a proximal surface, and a distal surface, and a through hole extending from the proximal surface to the distal surface; a first adhesive material located on the proximal surface of the bearing sheet and configured to adhere the accessory to the user's skin of the user's peristomal surface; a second material disposed on at least a portion of the distal surface of the bearing sheet, wherein the second material is configured to dissolve in response to the action of fluids, isolated from stoma; and a signal generator adapted to provide an indicator signal when dissolving the second material reaches a predetermined threshold.

EFFECT: ostomy appliance is proposed.
