FIELD: packing and storage; gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to underground gas storage and can be used, primarily, to create helium or hydrogen storage facilities in waste mines and quarries. Funnel-shaped storage is made in form of a container connected to the helium supply and selection system, and contains an outer shell, the basis of the formation of which is form of a spent quarry and whose side walls are fixed in the side walls of the spent quarry, and an inner case inside the outer case, the inner surface of which is covered with helium by an impermeable membrane. Space between the outer and inner housings is filled with nitrogen with excess pressure in relation to the pressure of storage of helium in the inner casing.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase reliability, is provided in the helium storage located in the spent quarry.
