FIELD: storage or distribution of gases or liquids.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a cryogenic equipment for storing liquefied natural gas, namely to a storage facility that is a reinforced concrete heat-insulated and waterproofed cylindrical body having a spherical roof and divided into several independent reinforced concrete sections isolated from each other and containing cylindrical containers of factory manufacturing. In the autonomous storage-sections conditions for isothermal storage of LNG are maintained, in particular, a guaranteed insignificant excess pressure of approximately 500-700 mm of water is maintained. Containers placed in the sections are heat-insulated, and also an additional loose-fill insulation is applied in the free space between the container body and the reinforced concrete walls of the partitions. Also, in each section with accommodated containers, circulating nitrogen is supplied to ensure safety in case of the LNG leakage.
EFFECT: this provides a long-term storage of LNG under the isothermal conditions.
