SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system that generates an aerosol and which comprises a nicotine source; a volatile delivery enhancing compound source, wherein the volatile delivery enhancing compound comprises an acid; and a heating means for heating one or both of the nicotine source and the volatile delivery enhancing compound source; wherein one or both of the nicotine source and the volatile delivery enhancing compound source are encapsulated in a cylindrical polymeric capsule comprising a thermally conductive material, having a thermal conductivity of at least about 10 W/(m⋅K), wherein the thermally conductive material is included in one or both of: one or more walls of the cylindrical polymeric capsule; and a polymeric coating provided on at least part of the interior surface of the cylindrical polymeric capsule.

EFFECT: higher content of the volatile delivery enhancing compound in the gas phase that reacts with nicotine in the gas phase.
