SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automobiles and, more particularly, to a method and apparatus for determining an altitude correction coefficient. Disclosed is a method for acquiring an altitude correction coefficient, comprising: acquiring an initial value of an altitude correction coefficient self-learning filter, when a pre-set event occurs to an engine of a vehicle, including a power-off event, a power-on event and an abnormal power-down event; according to the rotational speed of the engine, the running speed of the vehicle and state information about given devices, judging whether the vehicle satisfies a pre-set self-learning enabling condition; enabling the altitude correction coefficient self-learning filter, if the vehicle satisfies the pre-set self-learning enabling condition; determining an input value of the altitude correction coefficient self-learning filter at least according to the operating states of a manifold pressure sensor and a stepping motor; and obtaining the current altitude correction coefficient by self-learning when determining the altitude correction coefficient using the altitude correction coefficient self-learning filter according to the initial value and the input value of said filter.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure the accuracy of determining the altitude correction coefficient for the electronic control unit, taking into account the complex real conditions of the vehicle's motion.
