FIELD: car repairs.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for restoration and simultaneous hardening of brake discs and drums of cars. The working surface of the brake disc or drum is ground until traces of wear and corrosion are removed. Restoration and strengthening of the working surface of brake discs or drums is carried out by vibration-arc processing using copper-plated graphite electrodes and cermet powder “ПГ-10Н-01”. Ceramic-metal powder mixed in liquid glass is applied to the working surface, after which the brake discs or drums are dried in an oven at a temperature of 120°C for 40 minutes. A semi-automatic process of vibration-arc restoration and hardening is carried out with the following mode: current strength 150 A, voltage 28 V, vibration frequency of the copper-plated graphite electrode 75 Hz, after which mechanical processing is carried out to nominal sizes.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to minimize the thermal effect on restored and strengthened brake discs or drums, to obtain a working surface of brake discs or drums with specified physical and mechanical properties, which allows to increase their service life.
