SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgery and may be applicable for intraoperative retrograde colonic irrigation at a chronic infringement of intestinal patency, caused by a tumor pathology of the left half of the large intestine. After gut resection and the imposition of primary anastomosis, a flexible single-ligated irrigation probe transrectally with 3–4 holes on the lateral surface to the ascending colon under visual and palpation control, sanation is carried out with gradual retrograde advance of the probe with the introduction of an isotonic solution of sodium chloride while performing a delicate massaging of the walls of the large intestine and grinding of dense stools with periodic removal of washing water, the procedure is continued until a clean wash water is obtained.

EFFECT: method allows to provide a minimal risk of infection of the abdominal cavity, maximum cleansing of the large intestine.
