SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to cross-switching systems and more specifically to transparent synchronization in a cross-switching system. Cross-switching device or system with transparent synchronization in accordance with embodiments described herein, connects selected source port or input port with selected destination port or output port and synchronize data from selected output port using synthesized clock signal, which is adjusted to match the restored clock signal from the selected input port. Cross-switching system with transparent synchronization can be cross-switching system 400G with resolution of 10G, can be used in practical applications based on OTN technology, for example, to provide an aggregator and/or a multiplexer with an insert-output (ADM) function or to provide an improved tunable optical multiplexer with an insert-output (ROADM) function with a higher data rate.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility to generate synthesized clock signal with adjustments in accordance with frequency index in millionths, detected for corresponding restored clock signal provided by selected input port.
