FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for reducing the amount of microorganisms in a liquid. Disclosed is a reactor for reducing the amount of pathogenic microorganisms in a liquid, including an interior cavity, an entrance to the interior cavity, at least two walls spaced apart from one another, wherein each of the walls disposed at a distance from one another is characterized by the presence of an interior surface, and said interior surfaces of the walls are made parallel, wherein part or all of the interior cavity is bounded by at least two parallel interior surfaces of said walls, and the parallel interior surfaces of said walls and the interior cavity are characterized by vertical orientation. Also, the reactor comprises one or more heating elements for heating interior surfaces of each of the walls located at a distance from each other; and a nozzle apparatus with an inlet through which the liquid enters the interior cavity, said nozzle apparatus configured to discharge a flat stream of the liquid into the interior cavity, which moves between the interior surfaces of the walls, substantially parallel to said surfaces.

EFFECT: increase in the productivity and efficiency of liquid treatment is achieved.
