SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a double-contact switch with first and second tubular vacuum switching chamber (1, 3), stationary electrode (4) which is arranged between the first and second vacuum switching chamber and which comprises first stationary contact (41) that protrudes into first vacuum switching chamber (1), and second stationary contact (42) that protrudes into second vacuum switching chamber (3), first electrode (11) which is arranged in first vacuum switching chamber (1), can be moved in said chamber in the axial direction and comprises a region that supports contact (12) and is sealed off from the exterior of first vacuum switching chamber (1) in a gas-tight manner, second electrode which is arranged in second vacuum switching chamber (3), can be moved in said chamber in the axial direction, and comprises region that supports a contact (32) and is sealed off from the exterior of second vacuum switching chamber (3) in a gas-tight manner, first contact compression spring for applying a first spring force to first movable electrode (11) such that contact (12) of first electrode (11) is pressed onto stationary contact (41), second contact compression spring for applying a second spring force to the second movable electrode such that contact (32) of second electrode (31) is pressed onto stationary contact (42), the first spring force being smaller than the second spring force.

EFFECT: technical result switching off the load current without the formation of an arc.
