FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a liquid composition for stabilising subtilisin, comprising subtilisin and a peptide aldehyde of formula B2-B1-B0-H, where H denotes hydrogen; B0 is residue of Tyr; B1 represents one amino acid residue of Ala or Val; and B2 represents one amino acid residue with an attached benzyloxycarbonyl group (Cbz), or B2 represents two amino acid residues containing an acetyl (Ac) N-terminal protecting group; and wherein the molar ratio of peptide aldehyde to subtilisin ranges from at least 1:1 to less than 1000:1.
EFFECT: peptide aldehydes or ketone derivatives are particularly efficient for stabilizing subtilisin-type proteases in aqueous compositions such as liquid detergents, including peptide compounds with OH-substituted phenylalanine aldehyde as the C-terminal residue.
