FIELD: drilling of soil or rock.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing components for drilling fluids. Method for producing a component for drilling mud from oil includes distilling oil with the liberation of fuel oil. Resulting fuel oil is sent to a vacuum distillation to obtain a vacuum gas oil. Resulting vacuum gas oil is subjected to hydrocracking. Unconverted residue formed during the hydrocracking process is sent to isodewaxing, then to hydrofinishing. Resulting technological product is directed to fractionation. As a component of drilling fluids, a fraction boiling within 195–305 °C.
EFFECT: high fire safety and improved low-temperature properties of the drilling mud component, namely flash point not lower than 80 °C, cloud point of the order of minus 68 °C, limiting filterability temperature of the order of minus 78 °C and a pour point of the order of minus 79 °C.
