SUBSTANCE: present invention generally relates to solar collectors and, in particular, to the improvement of water heating by solar energy. Water heating system contains: first circuit, including a solar collector, having an input and an output; first temperature sensor is operatively connected to the first circuit and configured to measure the first temperature; first flow generator configured to create a flow in the first circuit; first flow sensor operatively connected to the first circuit and configured to measure the flow of the heat carrier; heat exchanger, containing the output of the primary circuit; input of the primary circuit, functionally connected to the output of the solar collector; input of the second circuit, functionally connected to cold water supply; and the output of the second circuit, functionally connected to the inlet of the instantaneous water heater; whereby a second circuit is formed from the cold water supply to the inlet of the second heat exchanger circuit and from the outlet of the second heat exchanger loop by means of a flow heater to the hot water outlet; flow-through water heater having an inlet and an outlet and operatively connected to a second circuit; a system controller configured to measuring the transient temperature profile of the first temperature in the primary circuit while the first flow generator is operating; providing water heating by the sun in the second circuit based on: the flow of water in said second circuit; current first temperature and the transitional temperature profile of the first temperature, by activating: first flow generator in the first circuit and the instantaneous water heater in the second circuit.

EFFECT: this allows the creation of a system for solar assisted water heating with higher energy efficiency and faster response times.
