FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the poultry processing industry, namely, to a method and device for plucking slaughtered poultry. Device (10) comprises moving means (12) adapted to move bird (11) freely suspended by its legs, in the direction (T) of the transportation along the trajectory of transportation, and two side blocks (14, 15) spaced apart from each other located on opposite sides of the trajectory of transportation and forming channel (13). On the inner surfaces of blocks (14, 15) facing each other and rotated towards the trajectory of transportation, devices (16) for plucking bird (11) moving along channel (13) are arranged, wherein plucking devices (16) are configured to contact plucked bird (11). Device (10) comprises fixed means (17) for the forced support of bird (11) as it enters between two side blocks (14, 15) and plucking device (16) disposed thereon, which is located in zone (E) of bird (11) arrival into channel (13).
EFFECT: effective entry of the bird between the side blocks and the plucking means is ensured.
