FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: surgical procedure for introduction of a collagen sponge with "Retinalamin" in the subtenon space is performed. The area of stellate and upper cervical ganglia is percutaneously exposed to a rotating electric field, after a five-minute break, a session of visual organ exposure to the "running" magnetic field is performed. Frequency, duration and amplitude of the pulses are set individually for each patient to provide a blocking or stimulating effect on the ganglia. Blood flow in the posterior ciliary arteries and the Kerdo index are assessed. The course of sympatho correction and magnetotherapy is continued until the blood flow and the Kerdo index normalize - no more than 10 procedures.

EFFECT: effectiveness of neuroprotective therapy of dystrophic diseases of visual organs due to normalization of the vegetative balance level and local blood flow strengthening at the level of posterior short ciliary arteries.
