SWIRL NOZZLE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B05B17/06 B05B1/34

Abstract RU 2669219 C1

FIELD: devices for spraying or atomizing liquids.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for liquids, solutions spraying. Swirl nozzle comprises a housing with a swirling chamber and a nozzle; the housing is in the form of a supply fitting with a central hole and rigidly connected thereto and a coaxial cylindrical sleeve with an internal thread and an expansion chamber coaxial to the housing. At the same time, a nozzle is connected to the shell at its lower part through a thread. This nozzle is made in the form of an inverted cup, in the bottom of which there is a turbulent swirler of the liquid flow with at least two inclusions to the axis of the nozzle in the form of cylindrical openings, which are located in the end surface of the nozzle, where a central cylindrical throttle opening is also connected to the mixing chamber of the nozzle, in series connected to the diffuser outlet chamber, a divider is provided in the diffuser outlet chamber in the form of at least three spokes, each of which is fixed at one end to the outer surface of the diffuser outlet chamber perpendicular to the surface forming it, and at the other end – in the surface of the body of revolution, for example, a ball whose axis coincides with the axis of the diffuser outlet chamber, and the body of revolution itself is located in the lower part behind the cutoff of the diffuser outlet chamber, a diffuser is attached to the end surface of the cylindrical sleeve coaxial with the body, coaxial to the diffuser chamber, the cut surface of which lies in a plane below the surface of the body of rotation of the divider. Divider is made in the form of two spokes, each of which is fixed at one end to the outer surface of the diffuser outlet chamber, perpendicular to the surface forming it, and the other – on an axis on which a rotating body is mounted with the possibility of rotation, made in the form of a ball, the center of which lies on the axis of the diffuser outlet chamber, while the surface of the body of revolution made in the form of a rotatable ball mounted on the axis is perforated, and to the surface of the body of rotation, made in the form of a ball, mounted on the axis with the ability to rotate, elements are installed, making it rotate, for example, in the form of segments of helical blades, on the inner surface of the central cylindrical throttle opening located in the end surface of the nozzle, screw grooves are provided for performing additional twisting of the liquid flow. To the diffuser, whose axis coincides with the axis of the diffuser outlet chamber, triangular section ring with resonant recesses is attached at its output, near cutoff, and a cylindrical shell with a perforated disk at the outlet is attached coaxial with its outlet opening, while the resonant recesses having the form of a cylindrical surface of different diameters and lengths and perform the functions of Helmholtz resonators, the dimensions of which are determined by the necessary pulsation frequency of the liquid flow to increase the fineness of the sprayed flame, made in the ring of the triangular section, are located at an angle of 45° to the nozzle axis.

EFFECT: increasing spraying efficiency due to spray cone increasing.
