FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrification of electrified railways and can be used to detect increased and reduced values of surge current. To implment the goal, an array of voltages for a given period of voltage measurements on 27.5 kV buses is formed with the help of AMRCS, and the average value for the calculation device is determined from it. After that, the voltages of the same phases of adjacent substations are compared with the determination of the difference between these voltages and the comparison with a given permissible value of voltage difference. If the difference in the mean stress is greater than the specified allowable value, then the calculated surge current must be reduced.
EFFECT: reduction of power losses from the equalizing current without the use of voltage regulation automation equipment.
