FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: regulation is introduced not only by threshold (limit) voltage levels but also within the whole range of voltage change by introduction of additional regulation thresholds. Besides, the centralised control of voltage by a group of traction substations is carried out from the power control station. At that control is carried out depending on predicted values of power loss in power supply system. Predicted values of power loss are defined at predicted values of transformer OLTC switching with calculation of power losses in the external power supply system (together with power losses in traction transformer) and in electric-traction netware from equalising currents.

EFFECT: improved efficiency in voltage regulation at the section of electric-traction netware with a group of traction substations.
