SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical instrument making and relates to the method of evaluation and maximization of the limiting instrumental resolution of the remote sensing apparatus of spacecraft (SC RSA) on the terrain. Method includes the determination, based on the passport data of the spacecraft equipment, of the sampling period of the digital detector, the formation of its projection onto the probed earth surface as R2dH/F=2dH/F, where 2d is the sampling period of the digital detector, F is the focal length of the lens, and H is the height of the remote sensing satellite above the probed earth's surface. According to the obtained value R2dH/F estimate the ultimate limiting instrumental resolution of the remote sensing apparatus of spacecraft on the terrain. Further, based on the obtained estimate of the limiting instrumental resolution of the remote sensing apparatus of spacecraft on the terrain is matched by the Nyquist criterion in order to achieve the diffraction limiting instrumental resolution.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure the achievement of the diffraction limiting instrumental resolution of SC RSA on the terrain.
