FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering, specifically to production of carbon fibre materials in the form of yarns, bundles, belts, fabrics, etc, by thermochemical treatment of hydrated cellulose (HC) fibres. Carbon fibrous materials (CFM) are used as reinforcing fillers of composites with polymeric, carbon, ceramic and metal matrices for various purposes, thermal insulation of high-temperature thermal equipment, flexible electric heaters, electrodes of electrolytic processes, high-temperature filters of aggressive gases, liquids and melts, in the production of sports products, and in medicine. Method for producing a lyocell hydrated cellulose precursor of a carbon fibre material comprises treating, in a solution, components of a carbonisation catalyst, followed by drying, wherein raw fibre, before treatment in the solution of catalyst components, is subjected to intense brief heating to the temperature of the onset of active pyrolysis of cellulose macromolecules in the fibre for 1–3 minutes, followed by steam treatment of the feedstock in a solution of a sodium hyposulfite relaxing agent in an aqueous solution with a concentration of 8–15 % at a temperature of 80–100 °C and duration of 15–25 minutes, washing in tap water at a temperature of 80–100 °C for 15–25 minutes and drying at a temperature of 90–110 °C for 15–20 minutes.
EFFECT: carbon fibrous materials obtained using the disclosed method have a 10 % higher strength with increase in the productivity of the process by at least 10 times.
