FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to production of high-temperature materials used for thermal insulation of thermal equipment of various industries, mainly operating in vacuum, inert or reducing media at temperatures higher than 1000 °C, as well as reinforcing filler of composite materials based on polymer, carbon and ceramic matrices, used in aerospace engineering, in machine building and metallurgical production as heat-resistant filters, in medicine, in nuclear industry. In the method of producing carbon fibrous materials from hydrated cellulose fibers, involving treatment of initial cellulose fibrous raw material in a solution of components of a carbonization catalyst and subsequent carbonization and graphitization, initial cellulose fibrous raw material before and after treatment in solution of components of carbonization catalyst is exposed to microwave radiation with microwave frequency of 2450 MHz and nominal power of 350 W with radiation duration of 10-30 s, and carbonization is carried out at temperature 315-325 °C in an inert atmosphere.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing duration and labor intensity of technological process, reducing its energy intensity due to elimination of energy-consuming heat and moisture operations during preparation of cellulose fibers for carbonization, as well as reduce the carbonization temperature and improve the quality of the obtained carbon fibrous materials.
