SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and can be used to control autonomous nuclear power plants with water-cooled reactors having a turbo-generating plant in their composition, including fixed and transport installations, when changes in external electrical load. Control method of autonomous double circuit nuclear power plant with a change in external electric load is that maintenance of turbine rate of rotation is provided by changing power of additionally introduced ballast electric load of generator, moreover, signal to change set value of feed water flow and specified reactor power is formed by the total power of generator, taking into account required power of the ballast electrical load, and by means of control valve for supplying steam to the turbine, pressure is maintained in front of it.

EFFECT: improving operating conditions of a nuclear power plant, increasing its reliability and increasing its service life, while maintaining maneuverability on the part of consumers of electric energy.
