FIELD: heat-and-power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat power engineering and can be used for air cooling of circulating water in cooling towers of TPP, NPP and industrial enterprises. Fanless cooling tower contains a vertical tower with a water vapor trap, air intake windows, a reservoir for collecting chilled water and a water distribution system consisting of a circular water supply manifold with radial nozzles installed inclined from the center to the periphery, on which the nozzles are placed vaguely. Radial nozzles are installed with a slope from the center to the periphery, equal to the slope of the walls of the tower, the nozzles on the radial nozzles are staggered and oriented with respect to the tangent circle and the horizontal plane on which they are located, at angles α1 and α2, respectively, each nozzle is provided with a water jet ejector consisting of a bell that is aligned coaxially with the outlet nozzle of the nozzle connected to the cone and a cylindrical mixing chamber with an open end, inner surface of the tower is vividly provided with catchments consisting of two interconnected half-rings inclined at an angle α3, somewhat larger angle of the natural slope of water towards the diameter of the circle, where they are located, and equipped at the junction of the semirings with vertical drain pipes.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the cooling tower.
