SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technologies. Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and device for transmitting a synchronisation signal. Method of the present invention includes determining, by a first terminal, a D2D type, the D2D type comprising D2D discovery and D2D communication; and transmitting, by the first terminal, a synchronisation signal according to the determined D2D type. Thus, synchronisation signals transmitted by different D2D types of terminals do not influence one another, which avoids a second terminal detecting and receiving a synchronisation signal corresponding to a non-second terminal D2D type, thereby ensuring that a user direct connection communication can be performed correctly and efficiently.

EFFECT: technical result is the improvement of communication quality.
