FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, the manufacture of teaching aids in dentistry, and is designed to develop practical skills in the training of dentists. Mold is made by installing a sample of the phantom tooth and formwork on the work surface so that the sample is in the center. Formwork is filled with a translucent two-component platinum-based silicone Dragon Skin 20, Smooth-On, USA with a volume of no more than 20 ml and at a diameter to height ratio of 1:3–1:4, avoiding cavities and air bubbles. Silicone is held until it is completely cured. Resultant mold is removed from the formwork through the incision from the side of the sprue to 1/3 of the length of the phantom tooth. Tooth sample is removed from the mold. Phantom tooth is further manufactured by subsequently vertically installing the resultant mold with the sprue upward. Clamp is fixed in place of the incision and the formed cavity is gradually filled with a liquid polyurethane mass Task 9, Smooth-On, USA by using a syringe for 15–40 seconds, wherein the needle tip passing from the lower point of the formed cavity to the sprue. Mass is held until it is completely cured. Clamp is removed and the tooth phantom is extracted through the incision in the mold from the side of the sprue.

EFFECT: method provides the uninterrupted production of the necessary number of artificial teeth for use in a dental simulator, to create conditions for practicing skills of the preparation of teeth that are as close as possible to clinical ones.
