SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to sterilisation. Sterilisation system comprises a reaction container for housing a subject to be sterilised therein and sterilising the same, first means for feeding a peracid agent into the reaction container, wherein the peracid agent comprises peracetic acid, depressurising means for reducing the pressure in the reaction container, ventilating means for ventilating the reaction container, plasma generating means for generating plasma in a first predetermined area for placing a sterilisation subject in the reaction container. Said system is characterised in that it comprises a second predetermined area located outside the reaction container and extending from an area adjacent to the first predetermined area to an external environment; plasma generating means for generating plasma in a second predetermined area; and pressure control means for controlling the depressurising means and the plasma generating means. Plasma is maintained in the first and simultaneously in the second predetermined area in the process, during which pressure in the reaction container is reduced. Versions of sterilisation methods are also disclosed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides reduction in the concentration of off-gas having an unpleasant odour.
