SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of sterilisation of objects. Method for sterilising an object in a vessel using a sterilising agent includes steps of: reducing the pressure in the tank to a first pressure equal to or greater than the pressure of the triple point of water; maintaining the first pressure in the tank; increasing the pressure in the tank to a second pressure equal to or close to atmospheric pressure; reducing the pressure in the tank to a third pressure which is substantially equal to or less than the first pressure; feeding a sterilisation agent under pressure into the tank; and determining the presence of residual water in the tank after the step. Steps of reducing, maintaining and increasing the pressure are repeated if it is determined that residual water is present, and the sterilisation agent is fed if it is determined that residual water is not present. Presence of residual water is determined based on the actual time it takes to reduce the pressure in the tank to the first pressure; and comparing the reference time and the actual time, if the actual time is equal to or less than the reference time, it is determined that no residual water is present. Also disclosed is a version of the method of sterilising objects.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides complete sterilisation of objects.
