SUBSTANCE: object of the invention is achieved by a method for manufacturing an absorbent article comprising: forming extruded protrusions (31) by embossing while moving nonwoven material (30S), which should become top sheet (30), by drawing from the downstream side; placing the material for second sheet (40) on the back surface of the nonwoven material with protrusions (31) and joining the nonwoven material and material (40S) to second sheet (40) with a pattern of the joined parts, in which joined parts (80) of the top and second sheets are formed between embossed protrusions (31) adjacent in the MD direction, at positions that are central in the CD direction and corresponding to the central positions in the CD direction to the parts of adjacent extruded protrusions (31) and in lateral positions on both sides of the central positions in the CD direction, and extent (A1 and A2) defined in the MD direction for the joined parts (80) of the top and second sheets continuously or stepwise increases from the central position towards the sides.
EFFECT: object of the present invention is to join the top sheet having the extruded protrusions and the second sheet, while preventing wrinkles in the MD direction in the top sheet.
