FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of microwave devices. Planar polarization selector is proposed that contains a surface resonator with two adjacent surface waveguides connected to it, a metal two-polarization waveguide and a printed circuit board, on which a surface resonator and supply surface waveguides are provided, the surface resonator further comprising a slit aperture in one of two levels of metallization, and a metal bipolarization waveguide is mounted on the surface of the printed circuit board in the region of the slot aperture of the surface resonator, and the surface resonator itself is a resonator of the non-fundamental orthogonal modes.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in expanding the operating frequency band of the polarization selector, reducing the level of insertion loss, increasing the level of the polarization isolation, and also in providing a universal solution with a standard waveguide bipolarization input serving to connect a planar polarization selector to microwave devices and antennas of various types.
