FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for burning a reactive gas with an electropositive metal, also to an apparatus for carrying out this method. In the claimed invention, the electropositive metal is selected from the group consisting of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, aluminum and zinc, as well as mixtures and/or alloys thereof, the reactive gas before being burned and/or during combustion, for example, only for the purpose of igniting the reactive gas, is at least occasionally converted to a plasma state.
EFFECT: simplification of the reaction process due to the absence of the need for an additional plasma-forming gas, increase the efficiency of the reaction due to the possibility of a more targeted transfer of energy to the reactive gas and more efficient production of plasma.
