FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to powder production devices. It can be used for production of spherical powder by gas spraying for production of articles using additive technologies. Device for spraying a stream of metal, intermetallic or ceramic melt comprises a melting chamber, a powder chamber, an induction coil in the melting chamber configured to accommodate a cylindrical rod of material to be sprayed, and a spray nozzle connecting the melting and powder chambers, located in the nozzle plate. Sprayer nozzle has a tapering profile, the lateral sides of which have a cross section in the form of a circular arc, so that both the spraying gas and the melt flow and formed therefrom droplets reach a speed that is maximum equal to, and preferably lower than, the speed of sound in the spraying gas.
EFFECT: preventing formation of satellites and development of gas porosity in particles of the obtained spherical powder.
