SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-woven carrier materials and pertains to a method for forming a non-woven carrier material for bitumen roofing membranes, roofing insulation sheets, carriers for filtering media, primary bases for pile carpets and vinyl floorings. The non-woven carrier material comprises at least a first part and a second part, wherein the first and second parts comprise at least two layers of thermoplastic fibres. The first part and the second part are interconnected in the connection area to form a non-woven carrier material without deviations in the thickness and mass in the connection area. The invention also relates to a method for connecting the first and the second parts of the non-woven carrier material to form a connected non-woven carrier material.

EFFECT: invention ensures production of a carrier non-woven material without changing the thickness and properties in the connection area.
