SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a main frame which defines a working area of the apparatus, a traction device for lowering a film cap and for fitting it onto a pallet, a feeder device arranged to feed the film to the traction device, a cutting and welding device of the film, arranged to cut and weld the film so as to obtain a cap closed at one end thereof. Feeder device is movable along the frame between an operating position, located above the frame, and a service position, in which said feeder device is located at a given height from the ground, on one side of the frame. Feeder device is movable outside the frame when switching from the operating position to the service position without blocking the working area and comprises a pair of rollers, the ends of which are slidably connected to guides, ensuring the maintenance of the feeder device outside the frame and the working area during movement between the working position and the service position.

EFFECT: invention provides improved performance and serviceability.
