SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for placing a stretch film bag on a pile of objects placed on a pallet. Plant for wrapping trays (P) using a stretch film bag, comprising main frame (1), which forms working area (A) of the plant, traction device (2) configured to lower the film bag by putting it on tray (P), feeder (3) configured to feed the film to traction device (2), and device (4) for cutting and sealing the film, configured to cut and seal the film to obtain a closed bag at one end. Feeder (3) is movable along frame (1) between a working position in which it is located above main frame (1), and a service position in which said feeder is at a predetermined height from the ground on one side of main frame (1). Feeder (3) comprises two deflecting elements (31), each of which is configured to grip two adjacent corners (C) on opposite sides of the film and to move said angles from each other. Deflecting elements (31) are made with possibility of movement in area outside main frame (1) along guides (11, 12) made with possibility of holding device (3) outside main frame (1) and working area (A), when moving between working position and maintenance position.
EFFECT: possibility of providing access to the feeder without the need to move other working groups and even if there is a loaded tray in the installation.
