FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition which forms an insulating for producing a coating for fire protection. Said composition contains ingredient A, comprising an isocyanate compound, ingredient B, comprising a reactant which is reactive with the isocyanate compound, and ingredient C, comprising an additive which forms an insulating layer. Reactant which is reactive with respect to isocyanate compounds is a polyaspartic ester of formula
in which R1 and R2 may be the same or different and are organic radicals that are inert to isocyanate groups, R3 and R4 may be the same or different and are hydrogen or isocyanate-inert organic residues, X is a n-valent organic residue inert to isocyanate groups, and n is an integer equal to at least two. Additive which forms an insulating layer is a mixture comprising at least one carbon source, at least one dehydrogenation catalyst and at least one blowing agent. Resulting composition is not based on solvents or water, can quickly cure, can be easily applied, and also due to the possibility of formation of an effective crust of ash can be applied in the form of a layer of small thickness. Said composition is particularly suitable for fire protection, in particular, as coatings applied to metallic and non-metallic substrates, for example on steel building elements, in particular supports, beams and lattice bracings, in order to increase their fire resistance limit.
EFFECT: composition which forms an insulating layer and its use are proposed.
