SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing urethane(meth)acrylates of the formula:

characterized in that in a first step a hydroxyalkyl(meth)-acrylate (A) of the formula:
,
with a lactone (B) of the formula:
,
in the presence of at least one zinc and/or bismuth compound (C) are reacted with each other, and the zinc and/or bismuth-containing product obtained in the first step, in a further step is reacted with at least one cycloaliphatic or unsymmetrical aliphatic diisocyanate (D) wherein R1 is a divalent alkylene radical with 2–12 carbon atoms, which may be optionally substituted with alkyl groups with 1–4 carbon atoms and/or interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, R2 respectively independently denotes methyl or hydrogen, R3 is a bivalent alkylene radical with 1 to 12 carbon atoms which may be optionally substituted with alkyl groups with 1–4 carbon atoms and/or interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, R4 represents a divalent organic residue, obtained by abstraction of the two isocyanate groups of a cycloaliphatic or anisometric aliphatic diisocyanate, and n and m independently represent positive numbers from 1 to 5.
EFFECT: production of urethane(meth)acrylates providing coating compositions having higher flexibility.
