FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used in the oxygen purge process control during the steel manufacturing in the converter. In the method using information on the oxygen consumption, flue gases temperature, CO2 content in flue gases and additionally controlling the flue gases temperature at the waste heat boiler output, cooling water temperature at the oxygen tuyere inlet and outlet, the carbon and silicon content in the cast iron and the cast iron temperature, time of the metal purging in the converter from the moment of oxygen supply, calculating the flue gases and flue gases at the waste heat boiler output temperature increment integral value, the oxygen tuyere cooling water temperature increment integral value, and the converter metal temperature calculation is carried out by the regression method using the formula with the use of the said parameters, at that, the oxygen purging ending is performed with the metal temperature set value deviation from the calculated value of not more than ±14 °C.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the converter metal temperature measurement accuracy during the oxygen purging.
