FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, and more particularly to steam generators of nuclear power plants. Case of a horizontal steam generator consisting of cylindrical shells, at least, one branch pipe for steam removal, service pipes for coolant collectors, a branch pipe for supplying feed water, and nozzles for coolant collectors, the outer surface of which has a short, long and medium generatrix. At the same time, at least one of the nozzles of the coolant manifolds passes into the cylindrical shell and forms a protrusion on the inner surface of the cylindrical shell, the height of which is uneven, it has a minimum value over the short and long generatrices of the coolant manifold nozzle, and the maximum height above the middle generatrix of the coolant manifold nozzle.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the metal capacity of the horizontal steam generator housing, and also makes it possible to simplify its manufacture, reduce stresses at their concentrations and increase the strength of the horizontal steam generator housing.
