SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cards configured to output a magnetic field at or near its surface. Card comprises an elongated magnetically conducting material on or near the surface of the card, having a first and a second guide end, a field generator positioned so as to feed a magnetic field into the magnetically conducting material. Magnetically conducting material is positioned at the position where a reading head travels and forms a return path for the field generated by the field generator, whereby the field from the generator is fed to the reading head via the magnetically conducting material.
EFFECT: wider range of equipment for the given purpose.
