FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used for applying coatings by microarc oxidation. Electrolyte for coating by microarc oxidation of the article, surface of which is completely or partially made of a valve metal or alloy, contains, g/l: alkali metal phosphate of 25 to 60; alkali metal tetraborate of 18 to 50; boric acid of 10 to 40; alkali metal fluoride of 1 to 25; alkali metal metasilicate of 0.5 to 9.0 and water. Method includes applying voltage pulses between the article being an anode, and cathode, in contact with the electrolyte given above. Coating obtained by said method is also provided. Technical result is improving complex properties of obtained coatings: roughness of 1.3 mcm or less, corrosion resistance of 1000 hours or more, hardness of 1100 HV and more, wear resistance of 7 mg/1000 cycles or less, as well as increasing the speed of coating without deteriorating its properties.
EFFECT: technical result is improving complex properties of obtained coatings.
