METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF CYTOREDUCTIVE SURGERY VOLUME IN PATIENTS WITH ADVANCED OVARIAN CANCER AFTER COMPLETION OF THIRD COURSE OF NEOADJUVANT CHEMOTHERAPY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2671409 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to methods for interpreting the results of laboratory analyzes, and can be used as a method for predicting the volume of cytoreductive surgery in patients with advanced ovarian cancer after completion of the third course of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Method involves determining the concentration of two quantitative levels of CA125 and HE4 markers, and if CA125>535 U/ml and/or HE4>205 pmol/L, only suboptimal or non-optimal cytoreduction will be achieved.

EFFECT: use of the claimed method in clinical practice makes it possible to predict the maximum achievable volume of cytoreduction during subsequent surgical intervention and personalize the tactics of treating patients, in particular, if necessary, increase the number of courses of neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
