FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medical microbiology and is intended for the differentiation of strains of V. cholerae of El Tor biotype. PCR is performed in one step in two reaction mixtures, each containing primers to the genes vc0180, vc0514, ctxA and tcpA. Toxigenic epidemic strains of ctxA+tcpA+VSP+ are characterized by the formation of amplified fragments corresponding to genes vc0180, vc0514, ctxA and tcpA. Nontoxigenic ctxA-tcpA+VSP+ strains with a potential epidemic danger are characterized by the presence of amplicons corresponding to genes vc0180, vc0514 and tcpA. Nontoxigenic epidemic-safe strains of ctxA-tcpA+VSP- or ctxA-tcpA-VSP- are characterized by the presence of an amplicon corresponding to the gene tcpA, or the absence of all amplicons.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of differentiating strains of strains of Vibrio cholerae of El Tor biotype to toxigenic epidemically dangerous, non-toxic, potentially epidemically dangerous and non-toxic epidemically safe.
