MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF CALCULUS OF DUCTAL SYSTEM OF THE SUBMANDIBULAR SALIVARY GLANDS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/00 A61C3/00

Abstract RU 2671417 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method for the diagnosis of ptyalolithiasis with localization of calculus in the ductal system of the submandibular salivary glands is carried out by using a device consisting of a light source with a fixed to its end optical fiber with a length of 100 mm of various outer diameters of 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, which is used depending on the diameter of the submandibular salivary gland duct. two galvanic batteries of the AAA type with a total voltage of 3.0 V are used as the power element of the device. Optical fiber is injected with rotational movements, after preliminary expansion of the duct, into the duct of the submandibular salivary gland. At the same time, the optical fiber is led into the duct by 1–1.5 cm. Next, the optical fiber is connected to the light source by means of a rubber coupling and the light source is switched on with a button located on the light source body. Beam of light propagating in the duct is interrupted at the location of the calculus, and a dark glow is visualized in the oral cavity on the mucous membrane at the location of the calculus and the absence of illumination behind the calculus in the distal section. Method ends with the application of landmarks on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, turning off the light source and removing the optical fiber from the duct of the salivary gland.

EFFECT: application of this invention allows to effectively and accurately diagnose ptyalolithiasis with localization of calculus in the ductal system of the submandibular salivary glands.
