SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building. Torsional spring is configured as a torsion bar or helical spring from a spring wire made of fibre composite material. Plurality of layers of fibre reinforcement are impregnated with a matrix material. Each layer has fibres which are only subjected to tensile loading and fibres which are only subjected to compressive loading. One group which is subjected to compressive loading has a lower group stiffness than that group with the highest group stiffness which is subjected to tensile loading. Method includes steps of making a torsional spring.

EFFECT: higher density of energy accumulation is achieved.
