SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport engineering. Brake pad of the disc brake comprises backing plate having brake pad retaining feature and a brake pad. One of the elements of the base plate on each side thereof is a side protrusion that is adapted to be engaged with a corresponding groove of the corresponding radially oriented disk brake mounting element for inserting the brake pad and with the corresponding groove of the corresponding side disc brake receiving element. One of the lateral brake pad retaining features, on one of the lateral sides, includes one groove extending in the direction parallel to the rotation axis of the brake disc when the brake pad is in an installed position. Groove being configured to engage a correspondingly configured projection of the corresponding lateral brake pad receiving feature.

EFFECT: reliable retention of the brake pad is achieved and no separate restraints are required.
