SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, and more particularly to an agent for the prevention or treatment of a malignant tumor such as lung cancer, liver cancer, bile duct cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer or ovarian cancer. Disclosed is a combination for the prevention or treatment of a cancer that comprises metformin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the malignant tumor is lung cancer, liver cancer, bile duct cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer or ovarian cancer, and the content of metformin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination is 1–600 moles of metformin
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof per 1 mole of dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Use of dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination with metformin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for the preparation of the combination. Method for preventing or treating a malignant tumor, comprising administering a combination to an individual in need thereof. Drug for the prevention or treatment of pancreatic cancer. Method for the prevention or treatment of pancreatic cancer. Use of dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as a medication for the prevention or treatment of pancreatic cancer as a combination thereof. Use of dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for the preparation of a medication for the prevention or treatment of pancreatic cancer. Medication for the prevention or treatment of a malignant tumor comprising metformin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in combination. Medication for the prevention or treatment of a malignant tumor, comprising dihydroquercetin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in combination.
EFFECT: above described agents have unexpected therapeutic activity in the prevention or treatment of a malignant tumor such as lung cancer, liver cancer, bile duct cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer or ovarian cancer.
